The first meeting · 30 minutes

Let’s talk

It’s 30 minutes, and it commits you to nothing. We look at your payroll and funding and work out what’s worth changing, if anything.

Booking opens in a new tab. Nothing from the Friday Test is passed to the booking page.

Agenda

What we’ll cover

  1. Your position, in your words: the workforce, how it’s paid and what prompted the call.
  2. What the Friday Test showed, if you ran it.
  3. Whether a change makes sense, and how we’re paid if an introduction follows.
  4. The next step. That might be “nothing for now”.

Come on your own, or bring a colleague

There’s nothing to prepare, and you don’t need to run the Friday Test first.

If it helps, bring whoever would approve a change. That might be the owner, whoever looks after finance and whoever runs payroll, plus operations if the supply chain matters. One person can cover several roles. Anyone else can join a later call.

What’s useful to bring

What’s useful to bring
  • Your Friday Test result, if you ran it. It isn’t stored anywhere, so print or save it before you close the tab.
  • Your provider’s invoices or statements, if you have them.
  • For funding, twelve months of facility statements and your rough client payment terms.
  • For the supply chain, your top ten clients: who holds each end-client contract, and how workers are engaged. No client names needed.
  • For global hiring, the global workforce page lists what’s useful.

Your meeting brief

Printed from kingswaypayroll.co.uk/first-meeting to share with colleagues before the first meeting.

Eight topics we work through before a first meeting. It’s all optional. Answer what you know, or just send your contact details, and we’ll reply with some times.

Your details

We need your name, business name and work email to reply. Everything else is optional.

Sending this brief shares it with Kingsway only. We do not pass it to a provider without asking you first. Privacy & legal

Who you’ll speak to

Between them, the Kingsway team has more than 15 years’ experience in UK tax and payroll, and the wider team has longer still in recruitment.

We’re a commercial broker and introducer.

If an introduction leads to business, a provider may pay us. We tell you who may pay us and on what basis before any introduction.

In the meeting we’ll tell you what looks workable, what needs checking and who should confirm it. We’ll say plainly when the answer is to stay where you are.

We won’t decide worker status, CIS or IR35 questions, or give tax, legal or financial advice. We won’t quote a rate either. A number on a screen is not a quote. Any actual rate must come from a provider in writing, at a rate they will hold.

What happens after

  1. We write up your Kingsway Map with you: what we found and the next steps. See an example Kingsway Map

  2. You decide whether a change makes sense.

  3. If it does, we introduce you to a named provider and you contract with them directly, after your own due diligence. No provider receives the Map or any of your information without your separate, recorded approval.
